How will my child settle?
We offer free settle sessions for your child to attend the session for a short while without you to see how they get on. We normally offer two 45 minute sessions, if you feel you or your child need more settle sessions speak to the manager for this to be arranged. We also ask you to complete an All About me documents so staff can get an insight into what your child likes and dislikes, we encourage you to bring in any comforters that your child may need.
What activities do you provide?
We provide a wide range of age-appropriate activities that support all areas of your child's development. These include arts and crafts, messy play, role play, outdoor play, music and movement, story time, sensory activities, and small group learning. All the activities are planned around the children's interests and follow the EYFS framework.
What will my child learn?
Your child will learn through a safe and nurturing environment. We support their development across the EYFS areas which include communication and language, physical development, social and emotional development, literacy, maths, understanding the world, and art and design. We encourage independence, confidence and positive social skills throughout nursery.
Are staff all first aid trained?
Yes, all our staff hold Paediatric First Aid certificates. Staff also receive regular training to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
What feedback will I receive about my child's day?
At handover you will receive daily feedback about your child's day, if you would like a more in-depth feedback we recommend you arriving earlier than pick up time. We also have observations throughout your child's time at nursery and parents are always welcome to speak to staff about any questions or concerns. We have regular photographs going on our social media accounts showing the activities the children get up to, there is a private Instagram account for parents and carers only that has posts on most days, as well as an open Facebook account which has a weekly roundup. We have an open Instagram account with information and activities on, this does not include any photographs of the children, and we also have a TikTok account that posts activities the children do during their time at nursery, we do not post children's faces to this account.
What happens if my child becomes poorly or has an accident at nursery?
If your child becomes unwell we will make sure to comfort them and contact you as soon as possible. If there was to be any accidents the appropriate first aid will be administered and recorded to share with you at collection. If any further medical attention is required we will follow our policies and contact you immediately.
